Lagging!

India

When you want to surf for something on the net you open up computer and then you start doing what you want to do. Then suddenly you see that your system and your net has slow down. Your net starts to lag a lot and suddenly it shows that you cannot connect to server and you need to restart the net connection again. You have to go through everything again. I have that happen to me several times and i would have to reset my Internet connection and start everything again. How many times has net lagged for you? Do you complain to the ISP? I have complained but they don't give a damn about it. What will you do in such situations?

Never. Even if my internet slows down by say 95% I still wouldn't notice too much with 30 mbps. What I would do is go to the forum of my provider and ask what on earth is going on. They have webcare teams you know so I could even ask them on twitter what's going on. Web 2.0, I love it.

I have encountered that alot of times. When that happens, i will simply shut down my computer, for about 15 mins before switching it on again. IF the same problem persist, i give up, forget about surfing. If it's slow, there's no point in rebooting as it will only waste more time, adding on to my frustration. Instead of making myself unhappy and moddy over it, i might as be doing other things.

I used to have this similar problem with the ISP when I first started using the internet. At that time, I was only starting secondary school and all the internet issues are the responsibility of my dad. I did ask my dad to complain to the ISP but my dad wasn't too worried about it since he doesn't use the internet very often those days (but now he does since he has retired). So I have to put up with mostly slow and unreliable internet connnection. But now that I've migrated abroad, the communications provider and ISP here are much more reliable. And since I work and earn my own money now, I am free to choose whichever ISP I want, and of course I will choose the fastest and most reliable one (albeit a bit expensive ). I suggest that you change ISP too if you find that this is a frustrating problem for you. If a company can't provide you with good customer service and reliable products, why use them? Besides, you wouldn't want the important stuff you do online to get disrupted just because of an unstable and unreliable internet connection....it's just not worth it.....

Hi raviteja_ravi84, I have to admit that I just recently got high speed internet. As soon as I got it, I wondered why I hadn't done it sooner. But, then I started have problems and I had to call my service provider about. My system was slow, and I was frequently getting disconnected from the server. I was told that I may not get the about of speed that I have paid for, that it would be somewhere in between. For whatever reason I was getting disconnected, they fixed that too. For the past few weeks everything has been going pretty well. So, I guess I made enough calls to them and they got tire of been on the phone with me for an extensive amount of time. I hope you have better luck soon.
