Some may see a cup of tea soothing , but chocolate is more likely to lower blood pressure. Foods rich in cocoa appears to lower blood pressure, but drinking green tea and black tea may not. For those who loves chocolates thats a good news right? :) but i also think that its not only for chocolates , those who happens to have the high blood pressure problem should also maintain a balanced diet and avoid salt, all canned food, pickles etc... Well i hope my little research on cocoa will help you in urgent situation Happy mylotting.

Yes, I agree with you. Salt and canned foods certainly raises the blood pressure. I have the blood pressure problem, I have to be very careful with salty food. One other thing which I find that causes rise in blood pressure is coconut. I am very sensitive to coconut, any thing coconut in it, e.g. coconut juice, food with coconut in it, dessert items with coconut, and so on. If I take something which has coconut in it, I become dizzy within seconds.

Wow...How interesting! Chocolate must be soothing in stressful situations if it is renowned for lowering blood pressure! That is good news for us chocolate lovers! I have noticed its calming properties but it doesn’t help with the guilt of yet another broken diet!
