Is cricket a religion in India

Indians are crazy about cricket and most of those believe it to be their religion and Sachin is God of this religion. I wonder how much true this is, because it is seen that fever of cricket is reducing now a days.

Hi friend do you have any doubt?Cricket is indeed a religion in India.In this country even the poorest of the poor and the multi millionaires shares the same passion for cricket.The students,infants,adults and even housewives remain glued to the television sets when the Indian cricket team takes part in a tournament.There are individuals who don't know the names of the leaders of this nation but they know everything about the Indian cricketers.The cricketers are treated like Gods and the religion they preach is cricket.
