What would be your stand on death sentences?

We have known for a fact that many countries all over the world are imposing these sentences on people who had committed crime against others. Some countries do make it as a law, some impose these to people whom they "think" had committed the crime. Would this be enough reason to continue death sentences?

Each country has their own laws as to what will be done to criminals. We do not make the laws, the laws are made for us. So we have pretty much no choice on how criminals will be dealt with. However there is a higher authority, which is God, and I have no doubt that one day all criminals will be dealt with appropriately. Whatever his will is, it will be done!

Thank you for your comment in this discussion. I have to agree that we have different laws in our own respective country. And that God will judge us all on judgment day criminal or no criminal. Lets just hope for the betterment of our world. And criminals be punished as long as they are guilty.

Hi iamjesca! In this world, criminals are sometimes treated unfairly while others get away with murder as they say. God promises a new world, let us keep praying for that to come soon.

...life is a precious gift from god, and he is the only one who can take it back from us..so i say, i am very against to this...we do not have the right to kill someone no matter how bad they are, no matter how many people they have killed with their own hands...there are other ways for a person to realize his fault other than killing him..also, killing a person for the sole purpose of making him/her pay his sins or mistakes is unreasonable...why? do you think you will still feel any guilt when you are no longer alive...geezz..

That is a tough one for me. Not because I would not like the offender not to be punished. But see that is just it. If they are sentenced to die okay life is over and well where is the punishment. They truly have to live and suffer, but suffer badly so that can feel the pain and hurt and perhaps maybe the regrets.
