Could you spare some change?

Well I can spare some coins specially if I can really see the sincerity and the courtesy in asking. When I give though I am more touched by old people on the streets or those who are disabled and cannot do any work. I am soft-hearted most of the times but there are some beggars here that I don't want to give to 1.those who are fit and healthy, yet they choose to beg rather than work, so i think by not giving them i am helping them to stand on their own feet. 2.Those impolite and uncourteous beggars who will demand for more when you've already given them some.

Personally for me, it depends on the situation. Where is the person when asking and how are they dressed, do they seem Honest, etc. Because personally there are a lot of people out there that are asking for $$ that might drive nicer cars than you do, own a nicer home, etc. and are just out there doing this instead of working for someone else knowing that they will earn $$ doing this and often times more than what they can working. But also at the same time anymore with the Economy the way it is, and more people out there loosing their homes, their jobs, etc. there are more people out there needing help who the society just seems to ignore. So in turn because of all the Scammers out there trying to use the system it often makes one leary of ever trying to help out even someone genuinly needing help as well.

I never give them anything. There are enough programs in this country that they could be using. Fact is some of them make more money begging while they are still on welfare!!!
