Whenever i enter an exam hall i find myself tensed up a lot. Just before the give the paper i have a look at my friends. Later i would then have a look at the question paper and which question i know the best i would start with that. In the last 15 minutes i would be really tense and start seeing the entire paper again to check if i have made any mistakes or anything. How about you? Do you feel tensed both before and after the exam? What do you do?

Hi raviteja_ravi84, Many people are not good test takers, even if they know the material. I am back in college, but haven't had any test yet, but I know they are coming this month. I can already feel myself starting to worry, so I am sure I am over studying. When I get my scantron prepared for the test, I wait patiently for the test. I look it over and start working through all the questions that I am sure I know the answer to and check the ones that I need to go back to. In other words, I don't spend time on the questions that I am not sure of. Once I get started, I notice my nervousness goes away. I know that if I relax, I will do a better job at getting a better grade.

Examination is a tension for any whether academic exam or departmental exam.So also interview for a job.The best advise is to take long breath and start looking at the question paper.Similarly take long breath and enter interview hall.

once you are well-prepared for an exam, confidence takes over tension.

I think you need to relax before the test, then in the test, use all of your abllity to make the question easy to understand and think it easy. In this way, you will feel confident and your test will in higher mark.

Well tension is always there in the beginning. It feels like we are forgetting everything which we have learnt. But its all just due to the tension. But I dont panic much. I just keep on revising the notes and avoid talking to others mates as it makes me more nervous. And once I get the sheet I check all the questions and mark those which I think I should answer and then start attempting them in the sequence giving the highest priority to the question I know the best. I just try to keep my cool during the whole exam otherwise the tension would take me over and I wont be able to write my exam well!!

I also feel tensed before the exam, especially when I face important exams.Judging from my experiences, adequate preparation can relieve your tension effectively. When you feel tensed, you can take a deep breath, then you will feel better.

Feeling tensed before exams is normal, no matter how well prepared i'm. I'm afraid whatever i've studied, did not appear in the papers and that will seriously demoralised me. WHenever i get the exam papers, i will be sure to flip thru it, to see what are the questions and how many of them do i know the answer to. By then, my confidence level will either go up or down. The last few mintues of checking will never happen to me for i always make sure i finish ahead of time, by at least 40mins.

i feel a bit nervous when i'm already sitting, i guess that feeling can't be taken from us. so i take a few deep breaths and clear my mind. the exams i actually take are those that require shading and it's more of application. after 4 years of taking this sort of exam, my friends and i have gotten used to it, although the beginning nervousness is still there. it's not to brag or anything but when i receive the paper i just read it as it is, and just choose what i feel is right. there's no point in hovering over a number if you absolutely have no idea what the answer is. well, let's say its a 2 hour exam but we were used to answer within 1 hour that we finish earlier than an hour or in an hour. then i try not to think too much after the exam, somehow i tend to forget some questions right after.

Yes, I feel nervous everytime I have an exams. But being tensed is another kind of description. I think feeling nervous is normal but being tensed is an extraordinary and higher level than the previous one. Being tensed is somewhat nervous with combined pressure and difficulty but being nervous is somewhat like you're conscious of the situation and being alert on what you're doing. Whenver I had exams, it is my habit to study first, deep breathing exercises, mind-setting technique, and time management so that you start to feel comfortable with the tests, environment, people.

I usually begin to be nervous on the day of the exam. When I already have the question paper I calm down and I keep it till the end of the exam. But when I am back at home I just begin shaking and checking all the questions I was not sure about. ;P In my view it's completely histeric, but I simply can't get over it...

Ya even I am very much tensed before i get into my exam room by thinking which question i have to face and is questions are from which i read and even after completing my exam i think is i answer the question right. But after completing my exams when i feel free at that time i think about my exams which i completed at that time the answers come to my mind which i left in the exams At that time i know that i can answer that questions if i am tens free(not tensed). But that thinks will be forget when next exams come that's what students life .

I always feel tense both before, during and after the exam. Im usually the last person in the exam hall because I always review my answers over and over again. Even if my answers seem correct, I always have a hint of doubt in the back of my mind. The tensions unfold after I receive my mark, unless I have a really bad grade which once drove me to the point of insanity.
