This is just an isolated case. Philippines is still a nice place to visit. Not all people have the same mindset. There are a lot of good people here, too. As a filipino myself, I condemn such action and hope that such incident won't happen again.

Bad things happen everywhere! It was just too bad that the media was there and made it a phenomenon and of course exaggerated almost everything that was there. Part of it might also be attributed to poor leadership on part of the new President. People wanted to vote for a president that is not corrupt but however is incompetent. In his campaign slogan they kept on saying that if there are no corrupt politicians, there would be no poverty. But the voters have forgotten one thing, Incompetence breeds corruption so nothing would happen! If someone would go to the Philippines, I'd suggest them to not go to the so-called hotspots of our country. Don't go to Metro Manila and Most parts of Mindanao. Go to a silent place to relax. There are beautiful beach resorts everywhere So forget about Manila and Forget Mindanao.

hello, i'm a filipino and i live in the philippines and i must admit, this country is not the safest place to tour.....but anyway, i'd like to visit boracay or cebu...i've never been outside luzon, i mean, i've been to other countries, but never to a place within the philippines that's outside of luzon.
