Do you frequently do SMS in your cell phone?

SMS rocks - SMS rocks a lot

I rarely do SMS in my cellphone. I do in times of urgency. It was college when i used to send 100 sms in no time. Lots that interest now and it is costing a lot for the SMS these days too. Previously those were free. Do you know hoe much these service providers mint out of SMS. I heard that for sending one complete SMS with 600 letters it is less than a paisa. When calls for a second are coming to half a paisa, think how much we are paying for SMS. But i like to say it is one of the best ways to communicate without disturbing others. Share your thoughts on the same.

Yes, SMS is really a great way to communicate without disturbing others. However, sometimes, messaging do has its cons. Most of the time, it is difficult to express something in words but when you meet the person in person, it is far easier to comprehend things. Maybe that's y picture is worth a thousand words :p Cheer! Do enjoy your SMS

I used to do SMS all the time. It was back in the days where texting was the new thing/fad. Nowadays, there are lots of unlimited call and text services offered here in my country. All you need to do is subscribe and pay monthly or buy a prepaid card and you can already call and text anyone without limits. Unlimited call; Unlimited text. But since I can communicate faster when I call someone rather than send a text message, that is why I don't do lots of SMS anymore. I still do it on a daily basis but not as frequent as before.

actually i'm more comfortable sending an sms than making a call, afraid of disturbing anyone at the wrong time.... so yeah, until now, i'm still a big big fan of texting...even if it's not something urgent, i say hi, hello, etc,,,from time to time to my friends via text messaging.

Hello Xorticanz, With reference to your question, I very seldom do SMS to my cell phone. Hence, in my location, the cell phone charge for an SMS and call is almost the same. The call cost and the SMS cost will just have a very minimal cent difference that is why, I used to do call rather than SMS. Nevertheless, in either way around, call or SMS, they both contribute to better communication.

I love to send random text messages to my friends and relatives who are in my cellphone contacts.., and that's the convenience of texting.., being able to communicate to anyone without requiring the recipients to respond immediately if they're doing something else.., =)

I SMS almost constantly, because it's a quick and easy way to communcate with my friends who live far away, and a way to make plans and get a messsage to someone in a situation where a phone call would be considered rude/distracting. For my plan, unlimited SMS is cheaper than calling everyone, too. Plus, I have a strange anxiety over calling people that I'm not completely comfortable with. So, texting it is.

I send a lot of SMS messages back then. But now I rarely do SMS since I have the internet to connect with my friends. Voice call is much better than SMS. SMS is very informal. While voice calls would be very much appreciated by your friends.

As soon as I got an unlimited texts contract, I started texting almost every minute of the day. Every time I look at my phone I have 3 or 4 texts from various people (also on unlimited texts contracts) and it feels weird if I don't text them back. In fact, I almost never use my phone because I send text messages so much!

I don't often send SMS from my cellphone. Usually I will send it from computer because the typing will be faster. Besides, it is free of charge to send it from the computer. I love China

I never really liked text messages, or sms, because it seem so impersonal to me. I understand it has its place but when I have to contact either my family or friends, I always try calling first. Unfortunately, because of my work, I do use text messages & emails a lot. Plan I have includes unlimited messaging so I'm not worried about cost of it.

no, not frequently. i only send SMS to my family but in an odd hours because i work at night.. i usually call them though. i don't mind my phone when i'm in bed or at home. i carry it in the office for the clock/time purposes. anyway, aside from it tires me.. spending money for its prepaid load is not really necessary. i only buy if i need to which is not everyday..

In my country these days SMS is quite cheap. For little money you can send lots and lots of SMS. I receive at least more than 100 sms on my mobile all from friends, I reply to some. If I have to send too many then I use fullonsms.com or way2sms.com, where it is possible to send multiple SMS. For me it is still fun to read and send SMS. It is a good way to keep in touch with friends.

i use to do SMS back in my college days. and it was not free! in 1 month, i almost spend 300 pesos for just texting since i am not into calling. it is very useful in my studies too. since i can just text my classmates what's going on in class, where are our group meetings, when will we pass our project, what is the answer of question number 2?lol just kidding. i never used my phone for cheating! some might. and of course, i use it because i am away from home. my university is 7 hours away from my home back then. Thank you for the SMSs. i can contact my family back home
