Do you walk regularly?

For me, walking is the best exercise and really gives benefit to the people. I always walked at 5 a.m in the morning because it is the best time for walking and no sunshine and makes me feel that I'm losing weight for walking. How about you? ?Do you walk regularly?

Hello careguarden, Yes, I try to walk regularly. The weather in my region has been extremely hot and humid. Early mornings hot and humid, and early evenings hot. So, I walk indoors 3 miles with a video. It works. Then when it cools down, I go back out. I am waiting on Fall. Walking is the best exercise. I also, use weights, do yoga, Pilate's, and jump rope. I try to stay in shape always. :)

Hi careguarden, That is my exercise regime. I do yoga in the mornings first. I took a yoga class years ago. Then I bought a book on yoga. Now, I have videos, and work out watching on Comcast Cable Exercise channel. I use weights 3 times a week. Pilates twice a week. I jump rope if I cannot walk outside. Basically, these are things that I do to keep from getting bored with my routine. Yes, I do try to stay in shape. Mainly for good health. You never know when you might have to walk or run in an emergency.

wow. you can do all that Iequate with no tiring? Can I know where we can buy the yoga book and the CD you use so that I always use it to my room everyday. i like to walk because it is a cheaper form of exercise and you can work your whole body. i find its best to walk at night or the early morning.

I agree! In the morning when everything is just starting its new day is great! Night for when its hot! lol! But I am a nature freak anyways! haha!

Yeah. walking is not costing money because all we need to do is walk and walk in the high way . all you need to do is to buy water to avoid dehydration. I suggest early in the morning is the best time to walk because they said it is really good t our body unlike in the evening because that time we need to rest. well, thanks for sharing your comments with us and have a nice day ahead Godbless

I walk to the bus stop in the mornings, then from the bus stop to my house. In total it's about a 30 minute walk. I find it relaxing. I never thought of it as an exercise but its nice to know that it is.

Yes! I walk every day like it or not? I am a dog owner! lol! But yes it is great exercise ans I get out to see nature where I live. I live out in the country on a lake called Lake Fork an its beautiful! I think I would still take walks even if I didn't have my French Bull Dog.

When I lived out in the country, I took walks all the time just for leisure because I really enjoy being outdoors. Now that I live in a more populated area, I don't like to take walks. I would if there was somewhere peaceful I could go, but no such place exists around here that I'm aware of. So now, for exercise, I take "walks" on the treadmill, which is not so fun. It's boring, but sometimes I need the exercise.

So, it is lso a good idea if you like a liesuring you need to walk and exercise too. sometimes, wecannot think that we walk how many miles if we have a problem right? i used to walk a lot going to work, but ever since i started working at home as a freelancer i don't go out a lot anymore and walk. i lift weights at home though to keep me fit. sometimes i also use our stationary bicycle. and at least twice a week i'd stroll with my boyfriend (guess where) at the mall! the mall is also a good place to walk ^_^ happy walking!

if other people can't walk you have lots of alternatives to do exercise even if you are inside in your house just like doing something that makes you sweat. sometimes, I scrubbing our floor so that my legs and also my body worked and after a few minutes i sweated. thanks for sharing your comments with us and have a nice day ahead Godbless

Hey careguarden~ I try to walk as much as I can, but it is Summer here and has been extremely hot and I don't sleep well at night so I don't get up until it already too hot to really walk. I also have had a swelling problem in my left foot and the more I walk or stand the worse it gets. I haven't even been walking and it is swollen. I don't have a car so I have to walk pretty much wherever I need to go so I at least have to walk a ways to get to the stores so I get in some walking no matter what!lol

That's the reason why I need to buy a cd and wish to have my own book because here also in my place is very hot that lots of people have their cold and zneeze always. So, I think yoga dancing is best alternate in walking. I can't totally walk far because of the too much hot. thanks for sharing your comments with us and have a nice day ahead Godbless

Yes, I walk regularly. Everyday I go to work and then go home on foot. It takes about half an hour. So it is not tiring but I can regard it as my daily exercise. I love China

I walk a lot, however, it's not like I go around the block and walk regularly. My job keeps me active and going, and there is a LOT of moving and walking in one day. I don't mind every so often getting out of the house and going for a walk. When I do, I will tend to put on my IPOD and I end up powerwalking to the music. I like to keep moving.

Thats exactly a good idea. If you really want to keep on walking with no thinking that you walk because you want to lose weight. I used to walk much before, but now that I go to the gym I stopped because it was very hard at the beginning. Now I'm thinking to go more on the days I don't go to the gym, ofcourse I won't put me to the end of my powers because too much stressing the body is bad, I know^^ I love walking though, in the forests, with some music on... Relaxing...

I have done the whole "walking to lose weight" thing in the past, but have fallen out of the habit. I really should start again, as I lost half a stone the last time I tried it.

Yeah snowflake.We better walk faster if we want to lose weight so that we keep on sweating. But remember we must do it regularly.I do always keep on walking 1 hour daily from 5 to 6 a.m. Even if their is rain I still keep on walking And I bring umbrella. thanks for sharing your comments with us and have a nice day ahead Godbless

Yes, I do walk a lot. I live close to pretty everything that I need. I live close to university, to a pharmacy, to a grocery store, and things like that. This definitely helps me walk a lot.
