I have been thinking about this, really... I have always wanted to be a professional, a doctor when i was in highschool... I wanted to be a psychologist but never got around to do that. I took computer and that was my 2nd choice... I was doing well for a while... but when i found a job, it was not an IT job! I planned to be an IT consultant for systems analysis and design.... Life... it sometimes does not turn out to be the way you want it to be... :( I wish i can go back to that day, really where i can change my life and career and make the right turn... Would you share yours?

I don't work out side my home any more, I earn my money from here online, and it alright but some times, I just want to leave home and go to work, but them i think about the bosses, I will have to deal with, from day to day I like working here online better.

hi Lilly! working for yourself is always the best, you won't have to feel bad about a day that your day tasks do not go according to plan because your boss told you so. :D

No..I wanted to be a musician, but now I work for a bank sitting in front of a computer all day in a little cube. I have seen statistics that they say that more than 70% of people do not work in the field that they majored in in college.

Hello chiyosan. I think that I have been doing the job that I planned to because when I went to college, I chose the major Education. I have been using what I learned at college and it is a good job for me though it does not help me earn that much. It could be seen that not everyone is in the right path of their career, but it could still be modified through efforts. Enjoy your life and work, chiyosan.

most of us think that way, even myself but later on i realized that we have to make most out of what we have. we can never turn back time and at that moment, it was the best decision for us.

A big NO. :( I am a BS Chemistry and Bachelor of Laws graduate but I end up working in a call center... I tried working in laboratories (big companies) but because I needed more to support my family, I had to look for a job which I could earn more. Since this call center doubled the salary that I used to receive in my previous job, I had to eat my pride and become a Customer Service Representative. I have sacrificed a lot just to earn quite big compensation. Now, I think everything has paid off. I am now a Manager in a well-known contact center and I am earning a lot. I have enough money now to support my family as well as money to spend for my bar review. :) Although not all things happened as I hoped and planned it would be but I still feel blessed that it has turned out positively.
