how to get people to donate to you?

It is strange nowadays that people are not welling to donate a penny for needy people. do you think it is the economy or it is just people have changed the last decades, and have been eager to earn more and more money. I know many people from my friend who are really in need for a dollar, one of my friends has a child who diagnosed with cancer, and she is strugling to earn some money in order to treat him, yes we are trying to help , but we are just few people and do not have enough money even for our families , and when we tried to collect some donations for her, nobody gave us a PENNY , what do you think of that?

Hi,meso! I think that we live hard days...because is hardest now to have some extramoney.And maybe more people have enough bills to pay and enough trouble in their life,so they can't help another people with bigger trouble.I don't think that people changed...only their lives changed.In worse! All the best and happy lotting!

DO you think that?..but even rich people who spend thier money in gambling, and other stuf are not welling to give a dollar. I guess , people are getting money slaves,worshipper, it is not that they can not afford to give some to the needy ones.

I think people these days are more cautious than they used to be. Look how many people you hear about these days on the news that lie about having cancer (which I think is absolutely terrible), however, people make these crazy things up to get money. I think people in general have to be a bit more cautious because certain people make stuff up. And of course, there is the economy. I know in my case, we just can't afford to donate money the way we used to. Have you tried to see if your friend can get public aid for her child. I know in my state, if you have cancer or any life threatening disease you can get help from the state.
