In fact it has been found that playing badminton till you get an increase in heart rate or mild breathlessness regularly in middle age lowers the risk of death.The main health benefit is reduction of bad cholesterol and increase in good cholesterol with regular badminton play. In our body, total cholesterol, triglycerides,low-density lipoproteins (LDL) and very low density lipoproteins (VLDL) are bad cholesterols and high-density lipoprotein (HDL) is he only good cholesterol.

I think doing a regular exercise, eating healthy foods and living a happy life is what we aim for. And badminton definitely is one exercise that can be beneficial to us. Especially if you love the game. It becomes a part of your life hence back to the first statement. Be warned though that too much of anything can be bad. So just enjoy and have fun.
