does facebook also helps you to meet your long-lost relative?

Good day Fellow Mylotter,
Eversince I joined Facebook, I find it fun and interesting. Thru this, I was able to chat and see my old friends. Getting an update information from them. And not only that, I was able to meet new friends as well. For this reason, I find Facebook fun and interesting.
As I go along being a member of this social networking site, I could never imagine that the time will come, I will be able to see my long lost relatives. The relatives which are living outside my home country. I never really assume that this will happen.
And because of this, aside from fun and interesting feeling that I have experienced, I also find Facebook as a helping tool since I was able to meet again my long lost relatives.
On your side, does this also happened to you?

i agree with you,absolutely! facebook really helps me to connect my relatives in distant places, and even finds out more relatives from far places. i think, this is one of the coolest site in this new generation. facebook is for all ages. i hope this site will last for centuries to come.

Yes, even before facebook, I've been searching for my relatives on search engines. I was trying to reconnect with those living abroad. Years and years passed with no much luck, maybe because they're not active online like I do. There were search results of their names on pages, but there's no way you can connect with them.
Now that there's facebook, and because internet can reach to a much more wide audiences, I found them, and even found possible relatives that I never knew/met.

yes, I have connected or reconnected with many of my cousins and 2nd cousins that I haven't seen since childhood. I am able to communicate more now with my relatives who live in other states that I had lost touch with.
I love it I think it is a great site for keeping in touch with friends an family and sharing what is going on in your life.

hi airasheila..in fact the facebook helps us to get in contact with old friends and relatives.i remember my old schoolmates with whom i had lost all contacts and was trying to find their cell numbers but it happened so that i searched for group of my school in facebood and was excited to find out so many school friends there.facebook indeed is a lost and found networking site (lol)

I was able to communicate with some other relatives and some of them are my distant relatives that I have met in reunions of family. Facebook helped a lot.

:) yeah it helps connect with long lost relatives, friends and classmates.
its fun to know them through the net... exchange pics.. update them with the latest events in life.
I even met half sisters and brothers who i have never met. I only knew them through other relative who talk bout them. :) then we kept in touch with facebook.. :)

If only they know that we are one face book....I dont know many of my relatives on FB...its onluy been majority of my friends.
