How do you find a person to trust?

If you were a drug lord or a gang leader how would you pick a person to work for you? How would you know if you can trust that person?
If I was a mob boss I would do a background check on that person to see to look for connections to the authorities and the applicant's family, then I will make him do a task to test for loyalty, capabilities, potential, and wits. After that we can meet and have a talk about how we work.

Life is equal to taking risks, anyone is both trustworthy and unreliable, it depends on if you can make them loyal to you, but you should never believe in anyone totally or it will be too much dangerous! Even you don't really believe in yourself rite?

Yeah that's why I put on some background check to know his family so i can get control over him, you know like an insurance. Think gangster like.
