Is honesty always the best policy

It thought to us in schools that "honest is the best policy". How true is it in todays world. If you are honest with your spouse, then is your spouse honest to you to that extent. How honest we are to the company we work in. How honest we are with our friends and family. I think, the thought "honesty is the best policy" has just been a bookish thought these years.

yes kartik honesty is the best policy.it is really better than LIC policy..!! because it gives surety for proud life..!!
