FINA/ARENA Swimming World Cup 2010

Swimming fans out there will be thrilled to know that the 2010 FINA/Arena World Cup is already underway with Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, kicking off the first leg of seven-leg global competition, where events in freestyle, breaststroke, backstroke and butterfly all take place in a 25m pool as opposed to the usual 50m pools used for the Olympics and World Championships. As this will be a seven-leg global competition, swimming enthusiasts find the schedule below helpful and some of you may also be able to witness the event hosted in your country. The 2010 meet schedule: * Rio de Janeiro (BRAZIL) September 10-12 * Beijing (CHINA) October 12-13 * Singapore (SINGAPORE) October 16-17 * Tokyo (JAPAN) October 20-21 * Berlin (GERMANY) October 30-31 * Moscow (RUSSIA) November 2-3 * Stockholm (SWEDEN) November 6-7 Unlike the long course competitions, short course events is everything about stroke speed and turns.
