I don't have any because I really don't have the budget for it right now. I know that this is risky so i avoid going to random websites. I just stay on the websites that I'm familiar with.

Gorillafootprints Hi. Most of us use free anti-virus ware. I am using AVG free which scans my computer daily. I am also using MalwareBytes which is also free and comes highly recommended just like AVG Free. I also use a program called Glary Utilities...also free which cleans up my cookies, unnecessary registry entries and broken files and links that are hanging around inside my computer. I really don't understand it...all I know is that it is free, it is extremely easy to use and takes about 3 minutes...longer the first time you use it.

information security is a big and difficult problem for everyone. my measures deal with it is that: update my windows system on time ,pick out the suspicious informations, and use the anti-virus software

you have a point there, you can manually pick out the suspicious information. but how can you determine that it is a virus? for me still the best way is to use softwares. But ill respect your opinion. Thanks for sharing

There are many different internet protection software programs to choose from. Most programs such as Norton and AVG are great programs, that is as long as you are using the pay version. But i would personally recommend to you would be Kaspersky Internet Security. This program is truly tremendous and it works in the background of all your processes 24/7 scanning for threats.

Using pay version is OK, but for me, i am searching for free and reliable anti-virus because i do not have the money to pay for it. I use Kaspersky before and it run smoothly on my computer but when my computer starts to slow down. I changed my antivirus to another. I just choose and try and then select another anti-virus.

I'm not using any security software right now. Just be careful downloading files and browsing that would protect your computer and just learn how to back up your files just in case. lol

it is good that you know how to back-up your files. virus can be transferred to your computer not only in downloading or browsing the net, virus can be also transferred when other person use USB or other devices on you computer

the first thing you need to do to protect your computer is your way of using it (don't open strange file if you don't know it and don't enter websites that have harmful potention for your computer) second, you need to use at least one antivirus program like Kaspersky, Antivir, AVG update daily. I think that is pretty enough

If you need free av than best is avast else best is quickheal. And yes if you keep your windows and av up to date than no virus could harm you and ever reach to your syste. Updating os and av is the main key to keep your computer virus free. Many people dont update their windows but update av but also not helps so please update both things. EVen if you are using most useless av and updating av and windows than also your comp will be secured.

Friend my suggestion is that don't go for free protection of your computer.Do not try to download any free protection software from internet like free anti virus.this free anti virus is more awe full.today internet virus is more powerful.so if u download any free software than it is possible that you are downloading free virus instead of anti virus .So avoid it and always try to keep a one user original anti virus in your computer . Basically i can suggest you to buy quick heal anti virus total protection. That is a good protector for your computer.Try it.I hope it will satisfy you.

Antivirus is a must for computer protection. Anyway, i use autoruns and process explorer, microsoft free tools too. Autoruns is used to manage the process at startup whereas process explorer is used to manage working process on your computer.

I have a good antivirus and anti malware and so far they've never let me down. I also do regular disk cleanups and would defragment my disks on a weekly basis. Also avoiding suspicious websites or any other that might have malwares and viruses with them. Other than that there's no really other thing to do. I use ESET Smart Security + MalwareBytes, then CCleaner and Auslogics Disk Defrag.

I protect my computer internally by using genuine operating system and applications the moment we bought it. I also maintain to buy genuine anti-virus software annually. Buying genuine soft wares for you computer is indeed helpful in protecting your computer. Based on my experience, I have never encountered serious problems with my laptop ever since I bought it with genuine applications. My laptop is two years old now.

To protect my PC internally I am using a latest antivirus software, and makes sure that its been updated time to time. After that I use several other softwares like Tune up Utilities Software which helps me to remove all the errors that occur in my computer system very easily. Then I also time to tome defrag my hard-disks and run full virus scans. I use CCleaner software several times a day so as to clean my registry from unwanted files and cookies that makes it slow. So thats what I do to protect my computer internally.

Beside antivirus you can also use free version of advanced system care to defrag files or disk, cleaning registries and other system maintenance tasks easily to speed up your pc.
