more languages better chance of surviving in India

In India its always better to know as many languages as possible especially if you are in IT sector,you will not have any idea when you may get transferred to other places.I don't say only Indian languages but foreign languages too. At present i know to speak five languages and they are tamil,kannada,telugu,hindi and english.Even in my college the teachers used to say the more languages you know its better in India.Take the example of the new ad that IDEA cullular is airing in tv nowadays that is bengali,malayali,marathi and the other language i don't know where in each calls the other person of that area to ask for help.
