street lights don't help

during the last years there has been an increase of street lights ever erected in our place. this news is suppose to be great and people would expect great benefits from them. There have not been any studies carried out of the effects that the increase in luminosity has on humans, animals,birds and insects and this is not the realm of having street lights per se. the first reason is to make the area visible and lessen road accidents. but the opposite happens here. the luminosity of lights are that low and you can hardly see the street signs. the residents already passed complaints to the authorities but as of now, there's no response. how about in your area?

The night is supposed to tell us to go home rest and go to bed. So that's what I want to keep appreciating. Staying out till all hours of the night can't be that good for us. That being said, the street lighting could use some improvement.

Hi flagella08!
That is one of the things that I don't like about driving at night. There are very few streetlights particularly along some roads here in our city and even in the outskirts. In fact, the distance between streetlights along highways going into and from this city is quite far. This is the reason why road accidents happen quite very often.

In our area, its not really one of the main roads that a lot of vehicles would pass by but, it would surely be helpful on intersections wherein accidents are possible to occur.
I guess they have a reason why lights on light posts are that way. If it were florescent, perhaps the road signs wouldn't be visible as they would become bright or shiny.
I guess they should make road signs that would easily be visible, especially in roads wherein accidents happen often.

Street light doesn't help and mostly some bas people short circuit it,so it's mostly no use :0
