In your opinion what is an interesting MyLot discussion? A unique topic? Lots of comments and interaction between the members? A discussion where you get new knowledge or useful advice? Many responses and many different opinions? A topic which makes you think about things you don't usually think about? Something different? When I look at the discussions that I have started, I find the discussions with many different opinions very interesting. I enjoy hearing about different views and experiences. I think it is interesting that there are so many different opinions about the same topic, and I am often able to learn something new or get a new perspective. I also love discussions where I get new knowledge about other countries and cultures.

My definition would define an interesting discussion as quality, engaging and interactive. By this I mean a discussion where I can comment some of my own experiences and or knowledge and perhaps help and or assist someone seeking information and vice verse of course. It does amaze me somethings flipping through the pages when someone says something like Hi.. What are we suppose to discuss in that, hmm normally I skip through such discussions.

I also like discussions where I can use my own experiences and knowledge and help others. When I ask for advice I always appreciate it when people do the same for me, and I have received some very useful advice. I have noticed the discusssions where there isn't much to discuss. Some discussions make me wonder what the person wanted to discuss, because it is extremely short and hard to respond to...

Most of these discussions are normally created by new users who are not quite sure of what or how the site allows. I try sometimes to guide some users but still amazes me that although I risked my time and my earnings the user persist on rubbish daily.

I think it's really a matter of one's personal preference. I mean you can post a really long and informative one about a specific product and some who use the product would find it interesting. Others, who do not use the product, on the other hand will not find it as interesting. For me, I like discussions which I can relate to and discussions which draw out different responses. I don't like arguments or anything like that but I really like seeing both sides of the coin every time.

Seeing both sites of the coin - I like that, too. I think it is interesting when there are different opinions about the same topic. I usually discover that it is possible to see the same thing from more than one perspective and that I understand both sides when people explain what they think and why they think so. I find it interesting to interact with people from many different countries and learn more about different cultures and traditions.

I like a variety of discussions here on MyLot. I do try to avoid any thing too intense like political discussions or discussions on religion. I also try to avoid discussions that I think would be difficult to explain in written form. I have a tendency to be a bit sarcastic in nature. I certainly mean no harm, however, I feel that I could be a bit misunderstood when writing. In person, if I am being sarcastic you can see my smile or the twinkle in my eye, but on here you can't see that. I don't want to offend anyone.

I can relate to the thing you wrote about sarcasm. I also use quite a lot of irony and sarcasm in real life. People who know me, don't get offended when I am sarcastic, but when I write, people sometimes misunderstand me, because they can't see my bodylanguage or my smile. I am a member of a Danish forum where the members are able to give eachother green cards (if they like the post) and red cards (if they don't like the post) I have received several red cards for posts where I was being ironic or sarcastic, I was joking and I didn't mean to offend anyone, but it is sometimes hard to tell the difference when it is a written sentence.

For me, interesting discussion is somethhing that gain lot of respondents. If the topic got responses of different opinion and views, it means that it is of interest of many people. It also can be a means of getting different views from members and some make eye opener into someone perspective. We can communicate and know what people thinks about a certain topic. So meaning, if a subject gain favorable responses, it is interesting. Thanks and happy mylotting.

I can be hard to predict how many responses that you will get when you start a new discussion. Sometimes I get less responses that I expected and sometimes I expected just a few responses or no responses and get a lot of responses. I think it depends on many things like the time of the day, the category where you post the discussion and whether people are able to relate to the things that you write or not. Some topics are interesting but complicated or hard to write about and some topics are easy to relate to and easy to write about.

Hi Porcospino!. I think interesting discussion is something you understand and capable to answer. Something unusual and drive my curiosity because its not a thing a found in my daily life. I learn many thing in mylot including about life and few of my friend share they their daily life. Its make you thinking about a lot of thing, and how people around the globe face and feel the same thing.

Sometimes when I read the discussions here on MyLot and I also think about the similaries between people from different parts of the world. Our cultures and our lifestyles might be different, but we still have a lot of things in common and we still face many of the same situations and problems. Sometimes the similaries surprice me, and I have discovered that there are more similaries than I expected.

We all will probably have different ideas of what makes an interesting discussion. I think an interesting discussion is one that makes you think. The more expression you can give to a discussion, the more interesting it becomes.

I like nearly all of the discussions. They affects me in different ways. Some of them can improve my knowledge; some of them can stimulate me to be more inspired; some of them provide me a lot of foreign information; some of them make me laugh and give me a good emotion...Even though some of them were considered as guideline violations, I think they also had their value to me.
