I have never tried counting it. Maybe people who do that are bored with the food that they eat cause they dont seem to focus on the food and how it taste like. I always focus on the taste and I dont care how many times.

i don't believe that chewing your food 32 times will aid a proper digestion.. hehehe the number of times you chew a pork chop is different from the number of times you chew a marshmallow. right? =) aside from that even though you don't chew your food you can still have a proper digestion. there are so called "enzymes" which are produced by our pancreas who are responsible for proper digestion. in addition you also need to drink lots of water after eating and be sure that you do not lie down on bed immediately after you finish eating for a reason that it slows the process of digestion. so i guess instead of counting the times you chew, how about pay attention on the amount of food you chew.. hehehe because it also affects your digestion

Hi Fraulein, i don't know how many time i chew but definitely not 32 times. I think 5 to 10 times, if i am hungry, then 3 times, . and hurry then walk and eat same 3 times. enjoy mylotting

I actually don't count how many time i chew my food..all i know is i finish my food to long because i chew it well. Well 32 times is a bit long and when you're hunger you just wouldn't even care to chew your food..

I've heard that, too. I don't think I ever chew my food that long because it gets boring, and if I'm really hungry I want to swallow it and eat more, haha.
