i am planning to buy a new laptop. after a bit of market research, i am planing to buy a dell studio 15 laptop costing around 57,000. having 1 gb graphics card, 500 GB hard disk, i5 processor n all. anybody knows a better model or a better company. i have heard well of dell services but it is usually lax in high end models like mine because of shortage of components.

I recon for 57k, you should get the best configurations. I have the fujitsu lappie from past 3.5 yrs and its been best for me. I would suggest you to look into other options also, check out sony vio also. You get better configuration than dell. Service wise, I think you are right, dell is better but you would require that rarely so choose the hi-fi configuration.

I am plaing to buy it in India. I have not heard about fujitsu here. Sony vio seems to be too delicate and expensive. Considering same config is costing over 70,000.

Yeah, Dell is a good company but at this budget, you can see HP too. They are too great and value for money. I personally dont prefer Dell coz if its within the warranty, then its good but after warranty expires, its parts are very costly as compared to HP.

specs are great for 57000 rs but you must try Hp as it is more cheaper and its laptop has more life as compared to dell

In the last year Dell have gain a real advantage on the laptops market. I know many people that have dell and they are very pleased with their products. Sony have also good laptops but the price is bigger for the same configuration, bunt they are also more stable and don't break so easy. Anyway, i recommend Dell for you, i think is a good choice, the only thing is to find the market with the lowest price :D.

Buying laptop is very expensive, so you should think about 10times, before buying it. My recommendtion is to talk with the shop assistant and listen his/her recommendetions.
