Why do people stick to Facebook so much?

I agree, it is great to keep in touch with family and friends without having to pick up the phone, which if I am on the phone that means I can not multi task as easily as I have to listen to what is being said, where if I post messages, I can wait for a response when I have time or flip between windows while they reply, there is a brief point where I can read other information or do other things. I can actually make a phone call about say a bill, or business and still be able to read and or type, as business calls typically have wait periods etc. I also love to post about politics, what I am up to etc where friends can see what I am up to and respond. I think facebook is one of the greatest social sites ever created. I have been able to find and get back in touch with people whom I had not seen or heard from since I was like 6 years old.. very awesome. I also like the fact you can like products you enjoy, give feedback etc.
