For some, it is. But for me, I don't think its normal for me to cry while listening to a particular music. I guess it depends on the situation or the mood that I am in. If I am already emotional about something and I get to listen to particular romantic love songs, I easily get emotional and cry like a baby just like you. But if my mood is happy, I usually enjoy and feel the music vibes of particularly HipHop RnB songs. So, it just depends on the situation/mood for me to be able to cry while listening. Thank you for sharing. Best of luck

music brings out emotions, it reaches your heart and sends out feelings. It is normal to cry when the music or the lyrics of the song touches you personally. There are lots of times when i can relate to the message of the song and it just makes me more emotional and you would just start crying. it's the same as when you hear happy music, you can't help but move to the beat.

I think it is normal music can bring back memories of good times and of bad or sad times in your life and the words can have meaning to, so of course you may cry when you hear a song or music you relate with this. So go on and have a good old cry then put on somthing happy.

I have cried on a music before and that was because I lost my grandma, just knew it over the phone. And when I was in the taxi cab, all the music were about losing someone you love. It really hurts to hear the words and all I can think is my grandma. I wasn't there when she passed away. I haven't told her how much I love her before she was gone. I have many more things to say to her... These was my feelings listening to those music. All I can do is just cry... :,( But I don't usually cry now listening to an emotional music. It relaxes my souls when I listen to a slow tune. And I get sad when truly listening to a sad song but I don't cry.

I think its fine to cry when we listening to music, especially if it has a connection with our life. Well, at least, if there is someone says that crying while listening music is abnormal, then I'm one of that abnormal too. I used to cry too when I'm listening to a music. Not just once, but many times. Especially when my condition was in high emotion my self. I never considered that as abnormal, I believe that everybody experienced it too. Its just maybe, we have a different thing as an emotion trigger. I got music for it, someone else got movies as the trigger and the other has a dramatic speech and so on. As for my self, I have an opinion that, a good music is those that can reach to the listener's heart. Everybody can produce a music that will make everyone else dance, but not all people can produce a music that will make someone else cry.

I've cried listening to music several times indeed. Sometimes there are songs that are really powerful, or their lyrics deal with something sad that you can relate to very well (such as losing someone, for example, like someone else already said), and you can't help but start crying. I don't think it's weird, really :)

The great thing about Music is that it's so personal and can mean so much to someone. I certainly understand why people cry when they listen to a piece of music. It's all about memories and emotions.
