Has anyone read the book 5-factor diet, and what do you think about it? It's a plan to eat very healthy, balanced meals with fish and poultry, good carbs, veggies, fruit, and dairy 5 times a day.

ive tried all the fad diets out there, i for 1 can not do any kind of whole grains as i pack on pounds when i do, i started eating what they call " cooking for david " its a kidney diet that only lets you eat 6 oz of protein a day, they also have a triangle to go by as what to eat, i tweeked it a bit and lost 83 pounds in 6 months. as i have only 1 kidney this diet is mayo clinic tested and works, because of only having the 1 kidney due to cancer i get blood work every 3 months and my levels are fantastic, this is not a fad diet, everyone can use it, my friend lost 45 pounds in 3 months and is in excellent health because of it. i also found if you only eat food the size of your fist at meal time you'll lose weight, thats not saying you can down a piece of pie or cake the size of your fist daily thats where the willpower comes in, but as in potato's and starchy foods nothing larger than your fist per day and that works. now i know your ladies get excited when you gain 5 pounds and go crazy about it but not doing anything drastic is the way to go, it's only 5 pounds, figure out what youve been eating that you shouldnt and cut it out of your diet. and women with some meat on them are so much more attractive than a skinny boney body.

yeah....this isn't a fad diet. it was a book of advice on how to eat the healthiest food available and correct portion sizes and exercise.
