do you like dogs?

I love dogs, they're just too intelligent to be an animal. Do you agree? Added to that, they are very loyal to their owners.However, why is it that people tend to be so obsessed with their pets? It's like wherever they go, the dog is right there on their arms and even sitting in on parties.

well my dogs are always in a stool, chair and never on the ground. well they are really small and we dont like having their feet on the ground because it might get dirty and we usually let them sleep in our beds.

I have never owned a dog and I always feared dogs when I was little because I have encountered bad experiences with them but overall they are cute and smart. I would like to own a German Shepard one day but for someone to be scared of dogs, I do not know how I would get over the fear of dogs? What if I get bitten? Hurt? Etc. I am a more type of person to have a fish instead -___-
