I think letting someone you love go to be with someone they love is showing what a strong and loving person you are. Letting someone go is the hardest thing I have ever done, but I loved this person so much that I just wanted to see them happy. It hurt alot and took time to get over, but it was the right thing to do. We are still very close freinds to this day.. Still hits my heart from time to time, but I let it go..

i salute you for having done that! sometimes we have to feel the pain so that if true happiness comes, we can enjoy it to the fullest. :D

thank you, I'm kind of in a situation like that now. Not a relationship, but a good friend is moving and its hard saying by to a friend, but want them to be very happy and have the best things in life for them.. I just like seeing friends happy..

you knowthat's a good for of love. letting someone or friend be happy in what they want to do even if you may not be part of their happiness. being happy for seeing someone happy is showing that you really love and give impotance to the person. you're a true friend. stay the same. :D

If you let someone free so that he or she could be with her or his true love then that is selfless... But if you just leave someone because you THINK you have found someone to replace him or her then that is just Selfish right? So I think, for me it's letting someone go...

i also agree.but i think it is also good to leave someone for another rather than stay with him or her and make love to other person.

Why do you have to be brave? but since you want to know I'll tell you my take. I don't know.

I think that both actions require a great amount of bravery from a person. leaving the one you're with to be with somebody you truly love means that you have to get away from your comfort zone and venture into something that could be uncertain. It also means that you have to be brave enough to truly be honest about how you feel and who you love. On the other hand, letting go of someone you love in order to be with someone they truly love requires the courage to be able to let someone be free to be themselves.
