How is life as a military wife?

Being a military wife has a lot of adjustments to do. I remember when we were newly wed, I had a hard time understanding the nature of his job. I got sick but he couldn't be by myside. I remembered whining and telling him that the corpse which they are paying vigil at was luckier than i was who was sick and alive. It was those days when they were required to stand by the coffin to guard the dead. I am still a military wife 'til now. I understand him more but I couldn't help at times but get sad when we have plans to paint the town red with the kids and suddenly he would get a call from the Base and he had no choice but to report back. So many sacrifices being a military wife. What's you story?

I have to say that ive had a hard time as well. 2 weeks after my husband and I got married he went overseas. I havent seen him in over a year and I cant wait for him to come visit! Its a hard life but I wouldnt ever give it up because I love my husband with all my heart. I know really cliche. :) Im hoping he will get leave in the next month or so.
