Would I be credited if I posted a same discussion twice without knowing it

I wasn't intending to do it. After I posted my discussion, I saw a similar discussion at the bottom, so I clicked the link to that particular discussion. It was a year ago, and I posted my response to it. After I hit the "submit" button, and back to the discussion page, I saw my name and my previous response about a year in the first page. I just thought that I overdone this again. I just wonder did I just waste my time to post a second response? Or would I get credit too for responding the same discussion?

No one of the posts would get deleted. They have a software for that. Interesting thing happened to me though. I posted about 10-12 4 line responses and started 2-3 discussions. Earnings updated. I saw I got only a cent. Hope I get more soon.

Hard to tell how the algorithm work from mylot. I hope that I can earn a little more from here too.

Don't be sad, slashragnarok. You're still new here. I see you only have 39 posts right now. There is not "star" displayed beside your name yet. But as you pass by 100th post, the star will appear including the number with it. The higher the number, the higher the earnings from every post will be for you. Don't be sad if you got a cent only. Your rate will soon rise.

Thanks for your replies. I'm not really sad. It's just that first day here I posted just the same amount I did last day and I got 21 cents. Then yesterday just a cent. It's the inconsistency that I'm worried about. My content quality doesn't really vary. So it came as a bit of surprise to me.

I think your discussions can be deleted if you stared a same discussion twice. So it can be deleted by mylot. Because this situation I face in past. By mistakes I had posted a discussion twice. Then next day mylot deleted my old discussions and give me the reason of duplicate posting. So now I always careful about this.
