There are many different types and levels of depression, my question is if there is a such thing as being depressed by family. I am always more down and annoyed when my mother is around. I find any excuse to get out the house, no matter who I have to deal with it's better than being sad and stressed. Is it possible that my own mother could be the cause of my depression?

There is a such thing as situational depression. If you find that you are depressed more times than not when your at home I would say it's quite possible. Have you asked a professional for an opinion?

Yes true, depressions are of different types depending on the circumstances. I use to manage stress, listening musiq, playing violen and i like chocolates, and i feel i get refreshed after having my chocolates. And best remedy is Meditation, try breathing exercise, it will help you balance and handle stress.

Hello, No. YOU are the cause of your depression. You have a few long held assumptions that are causing this depression. Probably you are expecting a lot from your mother. Probably you are highlighting only the bad things and entirely overlooking the good things that she has in her character. Probably she has done something wrong with you in the past and you haven't yet forgiven her for that. What you are describing here is not depression. It is stress which is a bit different from depression. You've already assumed that your mother is causing the 'depression', even before starting this discussion. You really need to get over of this assumption. Just take it easy. Try to modify your interpretation. Try to behave independently. Most importantly, forgive her, for anything that she may have done in the past. Forgive her, and then forgive yourself. Don't let your mind go rigid. Just relax and be flexible. Open up your mind and relax. Enjoy your life and relax. Forgive all, love all and relax. Thanks. God bless you.
