I wouldn't say it's safe, I've heard too many horror stories of creepy people on the internet in chatrooms so I don't go on them.

i think its safe as long as you dont give your address out or information out..it takes commen sence which some people in this world dont have which is why they get kkilled or rapped and etc. so if u dont have common sense dont go on the internet lol simple as eating cake

Open chat on the internet is safe unless you are ready to meet the person in the real life then you should be cautious . Most of the chat sites use SSL encryption i.e. you ll have to login,authenticate yourself and then chat,So yes it is safe if your question is based on technology.

It's safe unless you're talking to a stranger, or if you are, its only safe if you dont disclose any information more of it personal to that person you're talking to. You know, some people are really different in real life than who they are in the internet. Just look at how some little girls are deceived by pedophiles into thinking that these men are only teenagers like them.
