I really just need some sort of device that I can write on and store notes on. I was thinking a Blackberry, since I figure most of them have that kind of functionality, but they're super-expensive and their plans are always so high. : Anyone have any suggestions of phones or other devices?

Because you said that you wanted to write something or store notes, and you are looking for a cheap solution, you may try any kind of android-based phone. It's cheaper compared to Blackberry or iPhone. Samsung will do... Or, if you want to be patient, you may wait for several vendors like Lenovo to release their tablet handheld. You can write and store notes easily there.

Have you looked at Android phones? If all you need is just note-taking and the occasional Internet surfing function, then perhaps the HTC Smart is an option? Otherwise, go for older phones like the old Blackberry Curve and Bold. Bear in mind though, it's best to go to the store and actually touch the phones, as you'll want to get used to the feel of typing on your phone. Depending on your preference, a touchscreen phone with a good screen keyboard or stylus may be more up your alley (and nicer to your wallet!).

If you want all in one smart phone from Apple the iPhone either the latest or previous models which are cheaper now. Or separate mobile gadget a good simple Cellular Phone on any kind of brands, and an iPod Touch. The iPod Touch latest generation are cheaper now and almost like an iPhone which has built-in camera and other newest features.

I would recommend a telephone line or the HTC Windows mobile support ;)
