What do you do to get traffic to your articles?

I recently started writing Ehow articles and Squidoo lens but not seeing much progress. I've used appropriate keywords. What can I do to get more traffic to my articles? Also if I were to use an article submission software, could I used the same exact article for each site or would I have to change it up a bit?

I submit them to social bookmarking sites, such as Stumbleupon. This has given me nice results to be honest. You should try it!
