is it safe to buy items online?

it is my first time to buy an item online, a cellular phone. it cost 4,000 pesos. i am a bit hesitant because i am afraid the product will not be sent. but i hope it will turn out well. my office mates have tried it, and they said it's ok.i am sending the money tomorrow, while the celphone will be sent to me as long as the seller will received the money, she is from Luzon. what do you think, is it safe to buy items online?

i haven't tried shopping online.
and i think i don't want to buy something online,unless it really needs to. i don't have any ideas on such things and when i buy things i want to know more about it,and feel its presence.there's a lot of difference buying online than what you can really touch,smell and feel.so,for me i won't do such...
and besides i have known thigs can be bought online can be too expensive also.and i am not into those expensive things,i would do anything to be thrifty and save money,cause it is very hard to earn it.

I have only ever bought items from ebay.
I have never heard about the site that you have been on.
It is good that you asked around and I suggest you do some more research like the way you are doing it now. Asking people and looking up the site to see if it has good and / or bad reviews.

Well The thing is , its a gamble honey.Buying things online may be beneicial but they are reliable or not , you are not sure about that.If your friend says that it is ok, then try it. atleast lets have an experience.
