Do you pick up pennies?

yes i definitely pick up the pennies and store it in box after collection of quite amount i give it to the person who needed it more. i have done this twice.

of course,i do. but i find most people around our village don't do. i don't know.maybe they are rich enough that they don't like picking those pennies around,and i think they do have a thinking that those pennies nowadays have no worth anymore. but i still do,pick them up,even in my head i know if someone sees me do,they'd think i'm really poor.who cares,it's still money,and without it we can't make a dollar or a peso in our country.

When I was a child if I was out walking with my parents and they saw money on the ground they would always pick it up and sing a little rhyme. "See a penny pick it up, all day have good luck." This has stayed with me ever since and I always pick up coins if I find them as I believe it is a sign of good luck.

I agree with you. every penny is one hudredth of a pound and once i get a hundred they go in a little bank bag and get taken to the bank. of course there's also that old superstition, but that is certainly not the main reason why i pick up the money. I have so many friends who just throw away their pennies and two pennies and i always pick them up, it's become something of an inside joke between us :P Birdie -

Since my husband and I trying so hard to put a little money away for out daughter's future, and not live paycheque to paycheque, I am obsessed with saving every little bit of money I can. I order and cut coupons, and I pick up every piece of change I see on the ground to add to the change jar. It doesn't seem like much, but when you roll up your change after a few months of collecting and saving instead of spending change on small things like candy, you can maybe take $100 to the bank! So it's worth it, for me.

Definitely! It's a chinese belief that if you see money, you gotto pick it up for good luck. Anyway, money is still money right? Haha

I do pick pennies whenever I see one, because you'll never know when you need one, and beside it is still consider as money. And sometimes when I saw a penny and then saw a beggar I always gave them, because I know that a penny is already dollar for them and like you said it only 99 more before it will become a dollar.
