I felt only time bad about laptop is carrying it to office safe. I have broken already one due to heavy rush in bus due to travelling. It cost me luckily only 3000 as rest 75 percent was borne by the company. The new one is much heavier and i have to buy a new bag worth 1500rs for it. When i went to onsite it was even funny. When they weighed the bag they found it was 10 KG with battery. Then i felt I am carrying 10 KG daily. No need of gym. I walk a lot with it daily around 4 kms. One thing is that it is a lenovo laptop and it is really sturdy in operation. I love and hate it too. Share your thoughts on the same.

Like you I have to carry a laptop for work. However, mine is very light. Also, because it is for the benefit of the company I work for, it is their responsibility to insure it for accidents or theft. I do not have to pay for any damage. So far this has worked out as I have never lost a pc or had one damaged. As far as lugging it around, it is better to carry it on a different side not to get lopsided.

honestly,i don't take my laptop to my office. you know, it ia a little heavy and we have computers in office. so it is no need to some degree. so i put my laptops at home when i come back from work, i may use it to do something besides our work. find some funny things to relax myself.

Few weeks ago, I always carry my laptop. It was an old model of HP and indeed very heavy. I feel like my shoulder is going to break after few minutes of carrying. It was really a sacrifice for me until my HD crashed. I was happy and at the same time sad. I was happy because I will no longer carrying that damn laptop but sad because I was'nt able to back up some of my important files. :( I was wondering if that accident was triggered by carrying my laptop everyday. Hmm.. ^.^

Yes, I travel with my laptop (Lenovo thinkpad) and carry it back and forth to the office. So far, so good. Most days I am traveling in my car, as opposed to public transportation, so that is probably better.

No, I don't carry my laptop to my office. I have a very nice desktop in my office, and all business transactions are done on my desktop. Of course, when I travel on my business trips, I carry along my laptop to keep in touch with my office and with friends and colleagues.

I do not need to bring laptop to the office. The company I work with provides laptop for all managers, because they know we often mobile. But I do have my own laptop at home, so I would normally copy data from office laptop whenever I need to do something from home. And I have my laptop at home sync to the office emails, so that I can check my emails even on holiday.

I do have laptop and I used to bring them to the office before. My boss used to borrowed it because his laptop is a kinda slow and small while mine is faster and have bigger screen it's a dell studio 15 with 4gb of ram and 1 gb of memory and 2.2 ghz core 2 duo processor. But I got disappointed when my other office mate have damaged it while my boss is using it. I need to pay for the repair for the damage I never even did, I value my laptop so much because I bought it so expensive that I could never replaced it for more than 2-3 years but this people doesn't value so why should I bring my laptop in the office again if I'm not the one using it at all.

My part time job does not require me to carry a laptop to the "office". Though I used to carry one when I was in college, as I worked full time and thought it would be advantagious to have one. However I didn't use it on the go as much as I thought I would have. Sadly it's in my basement still and that one needs to be destroyed & or recycled as it's well over 10yrs old.

Yes, I carry my laptop all the time when I report to the office or when I travel for an assignment. It is an essential tool for my work. Luckily, I have never broken my laptop due to fall. I have a bag for my laptop that could be carried like a back pack and can be carried as a hand bag. So I carry it on my back when I need to walk a little bit farther and just hold it in my hand when its just a short distance.

Nope, I don't, because I am scared something will happen to it. So I just use it at home or in coffee shops etc. on my free time.

I'm the reverse - I carry the office laptop home, as there are usually a things I need to finish before a deadline, and I don't want to be stuck in the office all alone to finish any project.
