If there is no such thing as hate, then there no thing such as love.

Whoever claimed there was not a thing as hate? It's a very strong emotion but is the opposite of love. How does one measure love if there is nothing to measure it against. Hate is lited in the Bible as is love. Unfortunately, the things we are to hate, too many times we don't. The things we are to love and respect we don't.

I think that this concept is much like the idea of good and evil where they must both co-exist in order to keep their relevance... There would be no love without hate. There would be no fulfillment without hardships. Human nature is that we have to see a difference... a comparison in order for us to see or grasp a concept or an idea. We need to see what it is not in order for us to see what it is. It is not a matter of an agreement. It is a matter of agreeing to disagree. You should watch the Imaginarium of Dr. Parnassus. The movie talks about it a lot without having to compromise the position of God and the Devil. On the contrary. I think that whether you believe in just hate or just love, it is important that you acknowledge goodness and evilness because even without hate or love, we would discover it somehow. :D Hope that I helped :D

Do they always go together? Love and hate? Love is one of the most powerful thing in the world. That's all I know. I do hate people sometimes, but because of love I learned how to forgive them.

There IS such a thing as hate. It's a strong dislike for something. I don't think it's the opposite of love, though. Apathy is the opposite of love.

Hate and Love are both choices. You can choose to hate someone or you can choose to love them. They balance each other out, but I don't think that anyone should ever hate. The emotion is there because we need it to appreciate love (just like we need the bad to recognize the good) but that does not mean we need to have hate in our hearts.
