I always admired Lothar Matthaus, although I have only watched him playing a short period of time. He is the record holder in the German national team regarding the number of international caps and he was one of the last liberos who has played. Libero means that defender who co-ordinates the whole defensive line, has total freedom in moving on the field and he often carried the ball over the half line, helping the offensive players and many times went up to score goals. I am sure that the Bulgarian national team has a lot to learn from him, because he is a smart person and is a great personality in football. But I don't agree with the fact that a national team has a coach from another country and with other nationality. National teams should be really national, and not look like club teams. But with this globalization, this will be the result.
