Should North Korea stop focussing on its military so much?

North Korea is one of the poorest countries in the world largely because so much money is spent on its military.
Every country should have a strong defence force but not at the expense of its country's financial well-being. Its no surprise North Koreans are starving while South Koreans are thriving.
Also its giant neighbour China is a good example that North Korea should follow. China has a strong military and it is also one of the richest countries in the world.
Why do countries need to fight anyway. Cant we all just get along?

i dont think nobody could stop them even their own.if they stop focusing on that,the leaders would loose support and power.the government dont want to do that.

well i somewhat disagree with this one, north korea get its money mainly from its military weapons. they are shipping missiles and such to iran and other countries.
if the embargo to them will be gone, they will gain more money because of it.
but getting money with just military weapons is not really enough for a country to survive.
well personally, they can survive even if they shut themselves but they are always acting up or doing someting irrational that is damning their countrymen.
