The 2013 Solar Flare

September 22, 2010 2:48pm CST
According to scientists, a solar flare is going to hit the earth in 2013, which according to the experts is going to wipe out all power, electricity, internet and every form of communication. This is going to leave the world in a state of chaos, almost dragging us back to the medieval ages, providing it doesnt destroy the earth altogether. So I got to thinking, what would we do if we only had 1 day to live and after much soul search me and hubby came to the conclusion that wed head to the nearest beach with our nearest and dearest take as much alcohol as we could and just wait for the end, at least we'd get a good last sunset over the sea. Thats the fantasy, The reality is well probably be so panicked that all sense of reason would go out the window and wed be running round like lunatics trying to escape from the unescapeable. This is of course, providing the Mayan calendar proves to be wrong and the earth doesnt explode in 2012 as predicted. So I think the thing to do is whatever happens enjoy your life while you can, we dont know whats going to happen tomorrow.

Hi Looby I don't try not to give much thought to that kind of stuff they said in year 2000 that we would loose power and traffic lights would stop working ,computers would go on the blink and people were stalking up on canned goods and water getting ready for the year 2000 some people stayed indoors and anticipating this gigantic blackout!!! And ............nothing happend I'n not saying there is no truth that the earth is going through its change its been doing that since it was created what else is new ? All this crazy weather we've been having is in my opinion the earth doing what its always done even if its not that case what can we do about it? I surely don't want to panic about something that hasn't happend yet they do bring this kind of stuff on Discovery Channel and the Science Channel its great information about how the earch works and how we are abusing our resources but movies like 2012 and some of the things on these science channels also get people worked up which isn't healthy to be paranoid about something that you cannot control.

Oh yes, I'd forgotten about that Y2K stuff. That's exactly why we shouldn't panic! Where are all those scientists and doom-mongers today? Probably sweeping the floors of the Discovery channel studios.

2012 and 2013 are booked for end of the world parties. What about 2011? Have I missed something 'cause my calendar is free! Even this year is a little boring.
