Hello and welcome to myLot. I am a newbie as well.. less than a week. Basically you do not earn much.. I have only earned $1.18 and I put somewhat of an effort. You get paid by creating discussions (which you just did), you get paid by answering people's discussions, doing tasks, games, adding photos to interests, and basically being active. You can find more information in myLot FAQ... there are a lot of guidelines you have to follow do/don'ts which you probably read when creating this account... Good luck :)
