The latest text scam that I recieved was from someone who pretend to be one of your relatives abroad who was changing his mobile number already. He will tell you that he is up to part time business already, convince you to have a business with him, loading business to be specific. He will ask you to send load worth 300 and he will sell it in other country worth 1200. Load in other country is expensive an in needs for those who have roaming numbers according to him. The next day he will text you again requesting another load for the load last sent by you was sold already. Beware of this text scam as well.

Yes that's true! I also receive lots of text like that but I don't bother replying or contacting them. They even usually use titles like Attorney for the contact person. Maybe they do that to make it look that the person is trustworthy because he holds a title. I also receive text messages saying, "How are you there? By the way, this is my new roaming number because my old sim card was lost. I'm sorry I didn't make it on time to deliver the packages for you. Please text back, I miss you all there". It sounds like a relative from abroad contacting you but he doesn't even introduce himself. An obvious scam text. Me and my friend even tried to contact them just to test them and for fun. We're playing dumb and ask questions to them. We're just laughing and all they do was just agree to our confirmations like, "Is that your Father?" and "Are you still there at Abu Dhabi?". It's us who started demanding from them until maybe they have realized that we're just making fun of them, they stopped texting. -)

Besides the winning scam, I got those kind of texts too, pretending to be relatives from abroad.

Hi there: Whenever I have the capability to call or send text message, I would say thus, "send me the 50,000 and keep the rest, period." End of argument.

I often received messages like that. I just ignore it. but 1 time I got fed up so I report it to my phone provider. The acted fast and said that they block it. So after that I often received scam text. But my mom is new to cp, and texting and she was fooled, she load the sender 100php. because she thought it was I who was texting her.

i got exactly the same message today. the only difference is that the amount is 750,000 pesos. i really really wonder why a charity draw would give away 750,000 pesos when it cannot even afford to call me if i am the winner. instead i got a miserable text message. i think the idiot behind this cannot really think well...

The text reeks so much of SCAM. I've also received those kinds of messages and simply ignore them. It's just sad that a lot of people fall for those scams. My aunt received a similar text and got really excited about it. Good thing she asked my opinion first, and I was the one who called the supposed person to call. He asked me to deposit an amount of money so I can claim the entire prize. What the... you tell me I won a prize, and I'm the one who should give away money!!!! I then explained to my aunt that, sorry, the text was a scam.

I received the same message long time back. I just simply ignore it and deleted the message. There are lots of people who are victimize with this kind of modus. Just to think of it, you won a certain raffle promo which you didn't joined and registered, how come?? So my fellow Kabayans, BEWARE! There are lots of people who would do everthing just to fool other people and gain money for their own sake.
