When was the last time people paid attention to what you said?

I was in a group discussion and i was doing pretty well. When it was my turn to talk i found that people weren't interested to listen to me. I could literally read it in their faces like "Oh man...Here's another one" or something like that. I found only a couple of friends interested in what i had to say. I am a good listener than a speaker but i am not that bad also when it comes to speaking. How would you feel if no one gave a thought or looked at you when you are saying something important or maybe just something funny?

oh, now i don't really know if our little conversations where everyone is listening would count on this. i think they did pay attention to me... and they even had their comments on what i was saying to them. :)

I'm not a speaker to begin but when it's my turn to speak, i will make sure everybody listens. I don't try to grab their attention to me, but i will put my attention on them instead. IF they are disinterested, i will make it a point to find out why via questions. Being a speaker is not easy because u have to grab the interest of those around. As soon as we manage to do it, it will be much easier for the next time because we already knew what interest every each of them.

Hi there raviteja! Sorry to hear that.. I know how you felt but I guess you shouldn't bother to think about them anyways..besides, if they didn't bother to hear what you have to say then it's up to them already. And for me, their gestures are very mean.. I am also a listener, not a very good speaker, actually I hate attention.. I mean, I even doesn't want being noticed that much..But I can't remember any moment that I felt people weren't interested in listening to me, and lucky for me I guess.. I am sensitive so if that case happened to me, then I'd feel bad but then, I would give myself something positive to think about.. I guess I'll just have to think that if they didn't bother, its up to them. I'll just ignore what I saw in their faces and continue.. Don't take it too seriously.. If you believe in yourself then no one can hurt you without your consent.. Happy myLotting!

I systematized with what you fell. That was quite mean. Anyway, as you have said you are a good listener rather than a good speaker. I guess you need to improve a little about your speaking skills. After all, in this world their are a lot of room for improvements. Just keep it a try! it wont be bad.

It's upset when I say something to someone but he did't listen.Because it means he does't respect me or it means what I say is so unuseful that din't worth to listen to me.And I hope that we all listen to others attentionly when they say some interesting or sence things.

No one really cares what I say so I keep quiet. I can't remember the last time someone paid attention to what I said. Even when someone does pay attention to me I am sure they consider it irrelevant.

Oh yea add some jokes to it?!!...Im not a speaker but im surround with them and a good listener....Don't be too serious, put some jokes to it, people would love listening and will make them laugh too...then you know they will love to listen at you in the future, either has joke or not...because that person has left something in their mind that they can think of smiling and they can be proud of.
