The next and probably last installment of the latest Batman saga starring Christian Bale is still in pre-production. So far I've heard of two rumors of the next villain. After Heath Ledger's interpretation of The Joker, the next villain has some big shoes to fill. The common consensus I've heard is that the next villain will be The Riddler. While the Joker had many famous old portrayals (ie Cesar Romero and Jack Nicholson), I always associate The Riddler with Jim Carrey's version. One rumor I heard who might be sliding into the green spandex is Johnny Depp. Now I personally doubt this. Depp has too many projects already on his agenda. It might be interesting to see what he would bring to this character, but I'm still doubting that this will happen- even though Depp and Bale have worked together before. The other person who might be in the running is Joseph Gordon-Levitt which I can definitely see in this role. Lately he's been popping up everywhere; G.I Joe, 500 Days of Summer, and Inception. All different roles.
