ok so i had an idea how to make jus a bit extra electricity for you home and do something good for you. it goes like this get a home bicycle and as you knwo when you are spining it the wheel infront goes very fast or atleast my stepper does. if you just put a dynamo on there and if you ran or cycle for bout an hour you could make alot of electricity. what do you think?

That will be good exercise for for my 16 year old son. I should tell him if he wants electricity to power up his computer, he should start cycling LOL!

I don't think that this kind of source of electricity is good enough to produce energy that you want in your house. If you're using this source of energy, I think it can only afford to light a single lamp. I think I try the solar energy panels but it's quite expensive.

th ething with solar panels is that everything to get it working costs more than the electricity it produces in 15 years at least that is th esituation in our country believe me i have done the calculations

well you could convert your phone line to accept conventional appliances. the power they generate is usually seperate from your outlets and such.

That would be a good workout for all of us too. And hope it would save us the electricity bills as well. That's creative and that's great.

There is actually one Danish hotel who is using electricity from a source like what you have described Two stationary bicycles are hooked up to generators, with an iPhone attached to the handlebar to display the wattage. Guests willing to sweat it out to deliver 10 watt hours of power score a meal worth about 240 Danish crowns ($44) in the hotel's restaurant or lobby bar. Not half bad for doing your part for the environment. Read more: http://news.cnet.com/8301-17938_105-20002995-1.html#ixzz10c1oLpu6

That's a step in the right direction. Maybe hook up a series diode & light-weight, high value electrolytic capacitor for storage. If you really want to get serious & not spend any or much money, drop in to the largest library you can get to & get them to get you Free Energy Generation Circuits & Schematics by John Bedini. I've just finished reading it & now am building it (the Monopole Generator) from junk box parts. I'll publish it online in the yahoo group who will also help you out if you get stuck. There are about 27 success stories published in that group & tested thoroughly already. Many years ago, a ten year old New Zealand school girl built one successfully & the newspaper published it. They reckon the whole thing can be put together inside of a day.

Hello well that electricity can be used only to light a small lamp. If you want to use the electricity you have to store it somewhere for that you got to have a battery which will make the bicycle heavy. Else the lamp will glow only while you are cycling. anyway thanks for the information Firoz
