The 2nd episode sees the applicants selling ice cream around New York city for profit. The team who has the highest profit wins. Simple as that. Of course there’s nothing really simple about selling ice cream, especially if there’s another team doing exactly what you are doing. Another exciting episode. It wasn’t clear who was going to win or lose in the challenge. Both teams had their brilliant moments and bad moments in selling. The women were the first to come up with the strategy to buy a uniform or costume for the team, but the men had costumes as well. Both teams were pretty much aggressive in their approach to selling ice cream, and I guess that’s how you sell things in New York, you have to be aggressive. I really thought Poppy’s going to lose this for her team. David is an over-the-top person and they usually win this kind of tasks, because they’re out there and people are drawn to them. I guess it came down to their teammates. Fortitude was a cohesive team in this task, thanks in part to Stephanie stepping up to the plate acting like she’s the PM (because she has experience in sales). Octane had 2 people who couldn’t sell a lot. I thought for a lawyer like James this task will be easier for him! Lawyers are supposed to be good at convincing people. Maybe he has no courtroom experience? And Alex… he’s so meek. Maybe he’s not used to the conflict that we always see in The Apprentice. But he’s not the only silent person in Octane. I did a double-take when I see someone in the men’s team that thought I haven’t seen before. I had to check Wikipedia to see who he is (it turns out his name is Wade Hanson). He’s so under the radar! Mahsa got owned by Trump. LOL I loved it. I really hoped she was going to be fired. And speaking of firing, how scary is it to be fake-fired by Trump? Everyone was stunned when Trump “fired”Liza. I was stunned too. It’s a good thing he was kidding. You never know with this guy, he’s fired a lot of contestants before. As he said it, Trump was just in a “weird” mood that night. We didn’t see Gene getting that one-on-one time with Trump. It would have been cool to see what lessons Gene could take from the tycoon. Maybe they edited out because the episode is just one hour, which I thought was weird because I was used to the 2-hour episodes of the past seasons. To summarize the show: Winning team: Fortitude (project manager: Poppy) Losing project manager: David (Octane) Board Room Survivors: David, James Fired: Alex

I love Apprentice! However, this season's contestants aren't as high caliber as the other contestants in the past were... I guess whoever wins won't be a president of the Trump Organization....
