Any comment or suggestion for speeding up my HP Pavilion DV8000? What is the best option?

Depends what you gonna do with it. Is not really a good choice for gaming, that's for sure. Before trying to upgrade it, think about software boost first. There are lots of good PC optimizers that will speed up your computer without upgrade. Ones like Advanced System Care, Speed Up My Pc, Ultimate Defrag, Game Booster, and lots more. They will maximize your computer's performance, and you don't have to upgrade anything. Usually laptop are lacking the ability to upgrade, as there are just too few parts available for a particular model. You'd rather buy a new one, than to upgrade the parts. Try the software boost first, you might be surprised by how fast your computer can go.

Hello there nppanes, You should install a higher microprocessor and RAM, upgrade your Operating System, have fewer applications, have a good antivirus program, clean and defrag your hard disk regularly, limit your startup items and don't open too many apps all at once.
