what version ubuntu that u try on your machine? n what mode u try in ubuntu? Live CD? or install? whats te soecific problem on your display? is it wrong resolutions? or totally not detected? if u install on your machine, n u can logged in, try to use hardware drivers that locate in systems administration hardware driver, find it on your menu. then try to update your ubuntu, u can do it from menu, systems administrations update manager. or u can access from terminal, log as root by type sudo su from your terminal then type sudo apt-get update
