For some reason I've been watching a ton of movies lately. a combination of older movies (Gone With The Wind, Wall Street) and newer ones( Up, The Princess and The Frog, Hard Candy). I just got access to All About Eve and am going to watch it later tonight. I'm making it a habit to watch one new movie everyday. What movies do you guys at MyLot recommend? I generally like comedies, dramas, thrillers, (though not slasher films) "classic" film, and pretty much any movies made between the 30s and the 60s. Also I'm a fan of Betty Davis and Joan Crawford, so I'd be interested in any films with them, separately or together.

I adore documentaries too, if there are any that stand out to you, I'd love to hear about them. Also, why do romance dramas depress you? :(

I used to be a movie addict during my college years, going to the theatres atleast three times a week. I watch all kinds of movies, comedies, tradies, western, war, musical, and so on. I very much liked the movies of the 50's and 60's too. How about the movie "Anna Karenina" ? Leo Toltoy's book.

Anything with John Cusack is cool, then again, I think John Cusack is hot stuff.

I'm not so familiar with movies at around 30's to 60's. But most of the remake films recently are based from really old movies. Sometimes I didn't even know that the movies that I watched was only a remake like "The Day the Earth Stood Still" which was actually a remake from a 1950 movie I think. Most reviews that I read always says that the original movie was better than the remake we are watching today. So if you are looking old movies, try to look at IMDB.com for new movies and who knows, maybe the latest movies that we see today are just a remake. -) By the way, I just got a copy of the old version of the movie Planet of the Apes. I have watched the remake of this movie and felt like it was incomplete. I was waiting for its sequel to be released but it seems no one was working for it. So when I found this 5 part old version of Planet of the Apes, I already grabbed it. I'm planning to watch it soon. Just saying maybe you wanted this kind of movie too. -)
