What will you do if someone is pestering you at cellphone calls & text messages?

Someone keeps on calling & sending text messages today whose number I dunno. He/she keeps on calling & sending me forward text messages for the reason vague to me. But when I tried answering, no reply at all. It's kinda annoying & really ruins my day. I turned my cellphone off for the meantime & hoping he/she stops. Will you do the same? Or just let the person do what he/she is doing until she/he gets tired?
